What you will see

A circular route to glacial lakes at the foot of the Chaukhi massif. You will see three lakes of different colors - white, blue and green - and all day you will be surrounded by a huge rock mass with sharp peaks.

Wall of the Chaukhi massifA huge rock massif with sharp peaks, which is called the Georgian Dolomites due to its scale. The mountain will be in front of you almost the entire time you walk through the valley
Three glacial lakesThe milky White Lake right next to the glacier, the transparent Blue Lake and the Green Lake, hidden in the grass and rhododendrons. All three lakes are really different colors
Circular route through the valleyYou don't go back and forth the same way. You will walk along the top of the right side of the valley to the glacier, and return through the lakes along the lower path past the streams. Panoramas are not repeated

Day itinerary

07:30 – 11:00Departure from Tbilisi. Road towards Khevsureti through the Datavisjvari pass
11:00 – 11:30Approach to the fork. We disembark behind Roshka at the starting point of the trail
11:30 – 14:00Ascent to White Lake. We go up the right side of the valley to the highest lake
14:00 – 15:30Blue Lake and Lunch. We go down to the water, relax and have a picnic
15:30 – 16:30Green Lake. Short trek to the third lake and rest on the grass
16:30 – 18:00Descent to the car. We follow the lower path back to the starting point
18:00 – 22:00Road to Tbilisi. We return to the metro station 300 Aragviytsev
